Critic’s Notebook: A Look at Art and Artists in Post-postmodernist Times is based on research done for a forthcoming new book of art-themed essays. Edward M. Gómez will examine the legacy of postmodernist critical theory, the role of craftsmanship as a powerful, expressive language in art-making and the blurring of the aesthetic line between works made by academically trained artists and their self-taught counterparts.
