The MAC and Ro2 Art Downtown Gallery are pleased to present Duality Reality by the Fall Foundations program at SMU, headed by Professor David Dreyer. Duality Reality was generated from a project designed to utilize the materials and processes learned in the Fall Foundations lab practicum. The works reflected a continued discussion about the intricacies of combining two elements, wood and metal. A table saw, planer, band saw, sanders, plasma cutter, metal band saw, MIG welder, angle grinders and sanders were all used in the making of these projects.
Participating artists in Duality Reality include: Jordan Castilleja, Eric Docherty, Floy Gaidarski, Katherine Habeck, Justine McGregor, Lauren McKillup, Andrew Pipenburg, Emmie Skinner, Taylor Smith, and Chris Soohoo.
The opening reception will be on September 20 from 6:00 – 8:00pm. Duality Reality will be on view at Ro2 Art Downtown Projects through October 20.
