REBECCA BALCARCEL‘s book of poems, Palabras in Each Fist, came out from Pecan Grove Press in 2010. Her poems and essays have appeared in over forty journals, including North American Review, Concho River Review, and Third Coast. She currently serves Tarrant County College students as an Associate Professor of English and creative writing instructor. She took her MFA from Bennington College and was awarded their Jane Kenyon Poetry Prize.

LORI ANN STEPHENS is a novelist, a university lecturer, and a DIY addict. Her stories have been widely published and won awards in national competitions, including Glimmer Train’s Fiction Open. Her humorous short story, The Epidural, was featured in the Arts & Letters Live Series, Texas Bound, at the Dallas Museum of Art. Lori Ann’s debut novel, Song of the Orange Moons, is about girls, lost and found. Lori Ann’s Young Adult manuscripts have even more girls breaking free.

MERRITT TIERCE was born and raised in Texas and graduated from college at the age of 19. She worked in various secretarial and retail positions until 2009, when she moved to Iowa City to earn her MFA from the Iowa Writers’ Workshop as the Meta Rosenberg Fellow. A 2011 recipient of a Rona Jaffe Writers’ Award, she is completing a collection of Dallas-based stories entitled Love Me Back. Ms. Tierce is the Executive Director of the nonprofit Texas Equal Access Fund.
