Something Old, Something New, Something Funky, Something Blue
Opening Reception: Saturday, July 26, 2014 | 6-8pm
Exhibitions on view through August 23, 2014.
The Annual Membership Exhibition is one of the cornerstones of the spirit and mission of The MAC – providing a place for creative expression and vigorous dialogue between artists and patrons of the arts. The Annual Membership Exhibition celebrates emerging and established artistic talent in Dallas and surrounding areas. Each year, a theme for the exhibition is selected by The MAC staff and Board of Directors. They are inviting current MAC members or newly joining members to submit works of art in all media from visual to performance art and literary reading relating to the theme: Something Old, Something New, Something Funky, Something Blue.
Previous themes include: Δ (Delta), Trans-, Meltdown, Border, and XV.
The 2014 Annual Membership Exhibition theme is Something Old, Something New, Something Funky, Something Blue.
A new twist on a familiar phrase, celebrate 20 years of The MAC’s funky past, and help us add to our future!
